Virtual Wellness Cafe for Chinese International Students
FREE Virtual Monthly Events & Seminars
Letter from our Founder, John Zhang
Dear Chinese international students, welcome!
This is an informal session for Chinese international students to come together to share their stories, success and struggles while living and studying abroad!
This session is completely FREE and will be running every two weeks starting March 2021. In these 1-hr sessions, we'll focus on discussions and strategies such as:
Stress Management
Culture and Community Adaptation
College to Career Transition
This will be a fun, engaging and interactive session. We welcome you to ask questions, participate as much or as little as you feel comfortable.
We want to make this resource to any Chinese student who needs mental and emotional support, or just a little pick me up.
You are welcome to bring a friend and your favorite coffee or tea to this session!
Life abroad is not easy, and COVID-19 has made it even harder.
As a professional psychologist and therapist, I was once an international student from China. Fast forward 30 years , much of the international student experience has improved, but the number of resources - especially the ones focusing on mental and spiritual well-being are still lacking.
Counseling therapy is widely practiced and accepted in most parts of North America and Europe. However, it can be a difficult topic for Chinese students and their parents. In addition, for students who want to learn more or perhaps experiment counseling with professional will often be costly and rarely covered through health insurance provided by their universities.
If you have any questions regarding this event, please do not hesitate to contact us at info@cathaypsych.com
Look forward to meet you soon!
